How ModPath works

From “what should I do to this car?” to an actual build plan.

ModPath combines a vehicle/platform catalog, researched aftermarket information and your own build data. The goal is not to throw random parts at a horsepower number — it is to show a realistic path for the exact car, budget and use case.

01

Tell ModPath what you drive

Choose the year, make, model and trim. Drivetrain, transmission and engine/platform details matter because the same badge can hide very different hardware.

02

Set the goal and budget

Pick what the car is being built for — roll racing, drag, track or handling — then set the money you want to spend and the power target you care about.

03

Build your ModPath

ModPath organizes tuning, fueling, cooling, power-adders, drivetrain, suspension, brakes and supporting parts into a path that actually fits the platform and goal.

04

AI researches what the catalog does not know

For newer, uncommon or incomplete platforms, AI research can look for current tuners, products, prices, known power ranges and supporting-mod requirements instead of leaving the car blank.

05

Track the build

Save planned, current and completed builds. Add your own parts, what you paid, claimed or measured power, times and notes. Drafts stay editable while you figure things out.

06

Share only what you want

Builds start private. If you publish one, you choose what the community can see. Public builds can have comments; your private garage data stays private.

What the AI is doing

AI helps interpret messy vehicle names, research current aftermarket options and explain build choices. Research results can include brands, product links, price ranges and observed power ranges when the sources support them.

Research is cached so ModPath does not need to pay to re-research the same platform every time somebody selects it. Older research can be refreshed as the aftermarket changes.

What ModPath is — and is not

Power, price and performance numbers are estimates, not guarantees. Dynos, fuel, weather, calibration, drivetrain loss, supporting hardware and vehicle condition all change the result.

ModPath is a planning and research tool. Verify fitment and safety before buying or installing anything, and use a qualified tuner or mechanic when the job calls for one.

Why can the numbers change?

The same $5,000 does not buy the same power on every platform. A stock-turbo four-cylinder may hit a practical ceiling quickly while another platform can scale much further with fueling and a larger turbo. ModPath tries to respect platform-specific ceilings rather than pretending every car follows one horsepower-per-dollar formula. Use the CHP/WHP switch in the top-right to change the power unit across the site.
